As a statistician working on many clinical trials I’m often jumping between projects and collaborating with other people. Having clean and efficient data and analysis pipelines that can be reproduced by anyone else is essential. Version control software has always been helpful in tracking changes to programs. The evolution of markdown documents that integrate code and report text has made it easy to track and control the whole reporting process. A truly reproducible trial analysis is now achievable.
